Launch of the new the 4,700-square-foot store in the Lake Hills Shopping Center was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy.

After its launch was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy, a new Panera Bread store is set to open next week in the Lake Hills Shopping Center on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield.

A representative from the chain told the Fairfield Citizen the new 4,700-square-foot store is set to on open on Thursday, Nov. 29.

The new store is located at the site of several failed restaurants, including Mesa, MacKenzie's, Black Rock Tavern and Pizzeria Uno, leading some to speculate if it will succeed there.
