Readers' Choice: Favorite Fairfield Deli

Help us crown Fairfield's best sandwich-maker in this week's Readers' Choice contest.

Each of us has a favorite place to go for a slice of pizza or a burger -- and Patch's weekly Readers’ Choice contest will tackle those subjects soon enough.

Your local Patch editors all feel this is going to be a great category to let our readers debate and discuss: What’s your favorite deli -- and why?

See the list and poll below for your options.

You have a favorite sandwich? Tell your neighbors why it’s so great by posting a rating on Fairfield Patch’s online business directory -- just click on the link to your go-to sandwich shop below -- and cast your vote in our poll (just once please!)

The poll part isn't scientific so it's not the sole determinant of a Readers' Choice winner. Our local editors will determine winner based on a point system in which poll results and ratings are considered equally.

See our rules for more information (attached).

Thanks! Questions? Email me at caitlin.mazzola@patch.com.

Here's your list (don't see your favorite deli here? Let us know in the comments and we'll add it!):

  • Liquid Lunch
  • (either location)

Thanks, will add right now!

Spic and Span is the best. Great prepared food selections made fresh every day; outstanding butcher shop; amazing soups; wonderful customer service. Owners Greg and Lori Peck happily do special orders for just about anything. The food, service and ambience remind me of the "Village Market" in the small town where I grew up more than 50 years ago.

You need to add Pine Creek Deli. Their food is consistently fresh and delicious!

Yes - absolutely add Pine Creek Deli! They are, hands down, the best deli in town, and owned by some of the nicest people you could hope to meet. Thanks Danny for years of great food!

Good thing you're making this a "lunchtime' poll. So many of these shops close so early in the day/evening that there are way too few places for a commuter to pick up a sandwich coming home in the evening.
Caitlin Mazzola (Editor) March 26, 2012 at 03:37 PM
Thanks Peggy! I added Pine Creek Deli, plus the Pantry. I am working on getting them added to our Places directory - they were missing!
Caitlin Mazzola (Editor) March 26, 2012 at 04:26 PM
Roly Poly has also been added to the list/poll. Remember to leave ratings & reviews on your favorite deli/sandwich place's Patch directory listing! Those without a listing should have one up by tomorrow.

What about Village Bagels (there are 2 in Fairfield). Great sandwiches on a bagel.
Caitlin Mazzola (Editor) March 27, 2012 at 02:54 PM
Added! I'm sure we'll see Village Bagels again when it comes time to vote on Favorite Bagel in Fairfield.

How reliable is this list? Looks like just about EVERY Deli in Fairfield!
Caitlin Mazzola (Editor) March 28, 2012 at 03:09 PM
Liquid Lunch has been added to the list/poll.

Art's in Westport is the best...the owner Rich lives in Fairfield

Spic & Span is good, but their prices are no longer in the realm of reality. One should be able to get a bacon/egg/cheese for under $4. You can get 2 for $3 at Duchess!

Jack, This is a FAIRFIELD poll.
