I find it awful strange and peculiar that Mr. Bemus would take it upon himself to award his store, "Optical Alternatives" as the Best Eyeglass Store in Fairfield. According to my knowledge Fairfield PATCH said they would announce the winner on Monday. Mr. Bemus deemed his store the winner on Saturday at 11:23am. I find this to be inappropriate and disrespectful to the other participating Optical Stores. I would advise PATCH to look further into their voting process. It most definitely is not a scientific process. In particular it seems that Mr. Bemus, owner of “Optical Alternatives” should rephrase his statement and say that he presumes that his store “Optical Alternatives” won the Fairfield PATCH award for “Best Optician” amongst Fairfield PATCH participants. This by no means “Optical Alternatives” is the best Eyewear store in Fairfield.

I just received an update regarding this comment and I have to agree with Ms. Fearon that it is a little presumptuous of Mr. Bemus to claim victory. For goodness sake at least have the decency to wait for the official announcement.
