It's all happening on this beautiful spring day in downtown Fairfield.

With the sun shining and temps nearing 60 degrees, the weather today couldn't be more appropriate for an event called "Shop & Stroll Into Spring."

The event, co-presented by the Town of Fairfield and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, takes place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 3.

Participating shops throughout Fairfield will stay open late and will offer patrons an assortment of complimentary hors d’oeuvres and seasonal refreshments, while local restaurants will be offering dinner or drink specials throughout the evening.

For music lovers, the Fairfield University Bookstore is hosting Elle Sera, singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist, who will be performing from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“This is a great opportunity to celebrate the arrival of spring, support our local businesses and enjoy a fun night out with family and friends,” First Selectman Mike Tetreau said.
