'The Joint' Chiropractic Clinic Opens on Fairfield's Brick Walk

The clinic will celebrate its grand opening on Friday, May 3.

The Joint Corp. -- franchisor of chiropractic clinics dedicated to delivering affordable chiropractic services -- has opened its first Connecticut location on Fairfield's Brick Walk Promenade.

The Fairfield location is owned by Larry Coco and managed by Coco's son, Michael, according to a press release. The elder Coco is the president of Coco Training & Consulting, Inc., which has an office in Danbury.

Coco had been looking for new business interests and knew The Joint concept was one he wanted to pursue in memory of his late daughter, Danielle.

“I believe the vision of what The Joint represents is a strong one -- opening doors to health and wellness in a more affordable way,” Coco said in the release. “It provides a needed service to the community, exactly what my Danielle would be doing today.”

The clinic will be dedicated to Danielle during its grand opening celebration from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 3. The opening will also feature free adjustments, music, refreshments, entertainment, and an official ribbon cutting with the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.

The Joint...the chiropractic place at 1215 Post Road is currently open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Clinic doctor Stephen Rutkowski, D.C. is a Fairfield University alum who received his Doctor of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College, according to the release.

He is a former assistant professor of clinical services at the University of Bridgeport, College of Chiropractic and has served on the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.

“I want to be part of the revolutionary trend in health and wellness. I believe The Joint will be at the forefront of delivering a new model of chiropractic care," Rutkowski said in the release.

"This will make it more affordable for patients, who up until now have found it to be inaccessible due to the rising cost of healthcare," he added.
