Do Valle’s “Movember” Campaign & Awareness Supports Men’s Health

Branford, CT – November 1, 2013 - Do Valle of Branford is growing more than its business.

Movember is a worldwide movement to promote awareness to men’s cancer.

As part of the movement, Matthew Murphy, owner/founder of Do Valle, a premier wine distribution company located in Branford, CT,  is encouraging his employees, staff and customers state-wide to “Shave the Date” and support the Movember movement by growing a mustache for the 30-days of November.

Do Valle is also offering a special wine called “Mustache Vineyards” to help support the Movember movement in the fight against testicular and prostate cancer.

 “The Movember movement tagline is ‘changing the face of men’s health’ and we are proud, as a company to be Mo-Bros and Mo-Sistas.  Changing our appearance by growing a mustache for 30 days will aid in changing the understanding and attitudes men have towards their health. The Mo is Movember’s ribbon, it’s the catalyst for change,” Murphy said. “For every case of Mustache Wine we sell, $5 will be donated to the Movember Foundation.  It’s all about the mustache, but equally important is that it is really a great bottle of wine”, added Murphy. “Do Valle prides itself on being a conscientious corporation, and we have an admirable record of involvement and assistance with local charitable organizations.  The wine from Mustache Vineyards is a fun addition we can offer to the Movember movement with very important purpose.”

 The Movember Movement began in Melbourne Australia in 2003.  As an official global charity, Movember’s vision is to have an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health.  During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of millions of mustaches on men's faces around the world.  Through the power of the Mo (slang for mustache), vital funds and awareness are raised to combat prostate and testicular cancer and mental health challenges.

Mo-Bro’s start the month clean-shaven, then grow and groom their Mo, asking friends and family to donate to their efforts. With their new mustaches, these Mo-Bro’s bring much needed awareness to men’s health issues by prompting conversations wherever they go.

 The growth of a new mustache prompts a conversation, which in turn generates awareness and educates people on the health issues men face.  Awareness and education then prompts people to take action and change behavior, which is changing and saving lives today.
