VIKING CONSTRUCTION BREAKS GROUND ON FAIRFIELD HOUSING PROJECT

Viking Construction has broken ground on the $3.8 million housing project in Fairfield, Conn., called the Fairchild.  This project, which is owned by Garden Homes Management of Stamford, is a new 31,000 square-foot, three-story building that will include 55 apartments.  Viking installed 86 piles to support the foundation, and is building a permeable parking lot on the site.  The project will be complete in April of 2014.

Recently, Viking also broke ground on the renovation of an historic Mechanics and Farmers Bank building in Bridgeport and an affordable housing project in Sharon.

“These three projects highlight Viking’s expertise and attention to detail with historic renovations and new construction that blends into existing neighborhoods,” said Anthony Gaglio, Sr., president of Viking Construction, Inc.
