beach area residents continue to rebuild

In the wake of super storm sandy - resilient beach area residents continue to rebuild. Many homes have been bulldozed & put into dumpsters, many have been raised to the new code - 14 ft above sea level & many are for sale. The nature & character of the closely knit neighborhood will never be the same, however spirited residents stay their course... and things get better (& better than b4) with each day! The Jackie Durrell Pav will be open for business as usual, temp restrooms & snack facilities will be provided & beach clean ups are scheduled in the near future (www.savethesound.org) to volunteer. The marinas channel will be dredged, trees will continuously be cut & removed, marshes & tributaries will be cleaned ~ as Ffld looks forward to another beach filled summer!
