Get Outside and Do Some Good!

Enriching the lives of pediatric cancer patients.

Okay people, just when you thought that spring would never get here...well, it's here! Dust off those smelly sneakers, or better yet, go out and get a new pair and help a wonderful cause.

Mikey's Way Foundation of Fairfield, CT and Joel Barlow High School is raising funds for pediatric cancer patients at our "Miles For Smiles 5k Run/Walk" at Joel Barlow High School's cross country loop.  It will be an off-road event, so no dogs or strollers allowed.  Bring your family and enjoy a day outdoors, there will be facepainting, DJ and door prizes.  The event will take place Saturday, June 1st, preregister for $25.00, we will begin the run at 9am RAIN or SHINE!

It is the goal of Mikey's Way Foundation to connect every hospitalized child with their family, friends and school enabling them to cope with the sparation during long term treatment for cancer and other life threatening illnesses.  This connection is ensured through the use of the internet and the ability to supply every child with a laptop, netbook or similar electronic device.

So get out there for those who can't and help a worth cause!
