Fairfield Arts Center Starts 'Family Fundays'

First Family Funday is May 22 and features birdhouse making

Editor's note: The following news release announcing the start of "Family Funday" events on the third Sunday of every month at the Fairfield Arts Center, 70 Sanford St., was submitted by Steven Steele Cawman of the FAC.

On May 22, from 2 to 4 p.m., the Fairfield Arts Center will present the first in its series of Family Funday events in collaboration with Troy Fine Art Services of Southport. The Funday program will take place on every third Sunday and is designed to bring families together, encouraging them to re-connect by disconnecting from their electronics and engaging in an arts-based, creative project. The workshops will be hands on and are suitable for ages 3 on up; parents and even grandparents are encouraged to attend!

The May workshop will be led by Fairfield art teacher and artist, Diana Garigliano who will assist participants in making a one-of-a-kind spring birdhouse. The event is free for FAC Family Members, ($10 per child for non-members) and includes all supplies. Space is limited; to register please visit fairfieldartscenter.org or call 203.319.1419.
