[PHOTOS] Revisit the 2012 Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival

This year's Festival -- which took place this past weekend -- will benefit the Cardinal Shehan Center of Bridgeport and Bridgeport Hospital's Norma F. Pfriem Breast Cancer Care Center.

Months of preparation came to an end this weekend as the 31st Annual Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival kicked off the holiday season.

Volunteers decked the halls of the Burr Homestead with trees, decorations, wreaths, and other festive touches.

The theme for the 2012 festival was "A Season We Share" -- a reference to the Festival board's choice to name two beneficiaries this year.

The festival's proceeds will benefit the Cardinal Shehan Center of Bridgeport and the Bridgeport Hospital's Norma F. Pfriem Breast Cancer Care Center -- two organizations partnering to better to spread outreach, education, and diagnostic care to underserved woman and families in the Greater Bridgeport area. (You can read more about the two beneficiaries here).
