Today is Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 -- Martin Luther King Jr. Day. On this day in 1977, President Jimmy Carter pardoned hundreds of thousands of men who evaded the draft during the Vietnam War.

Famous birthdays include Thomas Stonewall Jackson – 1824; Benny Hill – 1924; Geena Davis – 1956; Cat Power – 1972.
