  • Holiday Book Sale: 9 a.m., Fairfield Public Library. "The Friends of the Fairfield Public Library will have their annual Holiday Book Sale on Saturday, December 1 through Friday, December 21 at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.  The sale will be held during regular Library hours.  There will be a large selection of children’s and young adult books, as well as holiday books and adult fiction.  There will also be some “special” books, such as collector and antiquarian books, available. All proceeds from the book sale, which is run by the Friends of the Fairfield Library, will benefit the Library."
  • Surviving Sandy - Building Resiliency and Helping Kids Cope: 7 p.m., Fairfield Public Library, free. "This program will be led by clinical psychologist Jessica Mass Levitt, PhD who has expertise in the treatment of trauma disorders among children, adolescents and adults.  Find out how to build resiliency in your children, yourself, your family and your community."
  • Are You Using LinkedIn to Your Full Advantage?: 7 p.m., Fairfield Public Library, free. "Learn from social media specialist Carol McManus how to strengthen your online biography, get noticed by the people you want to do business with, or, if you are job hunting, by the recruiters and hiring managers.  LinkedIn is practical, professional and powerful – learn specific tips and techniques to become one of the 1 percent that stands out."
