Humphrey the Dog Needs a Home [VIDEO]

The mixed breed is between 4 and 5 years old, according to former Selectman Sherri Steeneck, who presented him at Wednesday's Selectmen meeting.

Humphrey, a mixed breed, is 4 to 5 years old and is looking for a home.

He was found with another dog last month on Melville Avenue, former Selectman Sherri Steeneck said when she presented the dog at Wednesday's Selectmen meeting.

Both Humphrey and the other dog had been microchipped, but neither dog's chip was registered, Steeneck said.

"Don't forget you need to register those chips when you get them put in, otherwise no one's going to know who the dog is, they'll just know he has a chip," Steeneck said.

Humphrey and his buddy are available for adoption at Fairfield Animal Control's shelter at 211 One Rod Highway. Call (203) 254-4857 or visit -- click here for hours of operation.
