No rain date will be scheduled. Cancellation will be announced over radio station WICC (600 on the AM dial), TV channel 8 (WTNH) and News 12 Connecticut (channel 12 on Cablevision) at 6:15 a.m.
2011 Parade Orders:
The headquarters of the Marshals will be established at the corner of Post and South Pine Creek roads at 9 a.m. The parade will move out at 10 a.m. sharp.
Route of Parade: The line of march will be east from South Pine Creek Road along the Post Road to Fairfield Public Library, then south along Old Post Road to Flint’s Corner, and then east along Old Post Road, passing the Town Green and continuing beyond South Benson Road to disband.
Parade Division Commanders will strictly enforce the regulation against parade participants throwing candy or other items to spectators and spectators throwing objects at parade participants.
Floats: All large floats and floats desiring to enter the float contest should assemble on the Post Road west of North Pine Creek Road by 8:45 a.m. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded.
