National Weather Service Issues Flood Watch for Fairfield Through Friday Afternoon, Says 2 to 3 Inches of Rain Possible

At least it's not snow.

The National Weather Service says two to three inches of rain are possible between Thursday and early Friday and has issued a flood watch for Fairfield through Friday afternoon.

The flood watch was prompted by recent heavy rains that have swollen streams and rivers and saturated the soil, increasing the risk of heavy runoff and moderate to major flooding, NWS says.
