Road Closures, UI Restoration Lists [UPDATED]

Update, Nov. 5, 3:15 p.m.

From the Town of Fairfield's Facebook page -- regarding clarification of UI's daily power restoration lists:

"The restoration lists published here and via press releases are obtained directly from the UI Company.

After being deluged with messages from citizens still without power, despite their streets having been published on these lists, we obtained a clarification from the UI Company.

According to their rep, the streeet list represents a daily work order for their personnel, and not neccessarily a promise of restoration on the date it was published. We understand the confusion and upset that this has caused and apologize -- we interpreted the list in the same manner that many of you did.

There are still many lines and trees down throughout town, but progess is being made.

Again we apologize for the confusion."
