Two Fairfield Residents Named to Connecticut Magazine's '40 Under 40'

Brendan Muldowney, chief engineer at Carriage House Studios in Stamford, and Roxanne Melaragno, a teacher at Middle Gate Elementary School in Newtown, have been included in the list of inspirational people.

Muldowney, 30, has been nominated for a Grammy Award, in the category of “Best Engineered Album (nonclassical),” for his work on “The Next Right Thing” by Seth Glier, according to the magazine. He’s worked with John Scofield, Johnny Winter, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, Dave Brubeck, Wayne Krantz, Diana Ross and other well-known recording artists.

Melaragno, 34, “is one of a new generation of teachers who contribute much more to their schools than simply standing in front of a classroom,” the magazine said. Currently, she’s co-chair of Middle Gate Elementary’s Early Intervention Team, mentor for the TEAM program and a member of the Teaching and Learning Subcommittee of the District Strategic Planning Committee.
