Hello, Fairfield!

I am honored and excited to become the latest local editor to serve this beautiful town. I come to you as a recent graduate of the University of Connecticut with a degree in journalism and communications. I spent several years working at UConn's student-run newspaper, The Daily Campus, including one year as editor of the arts and entertainment section.

A lifelong Milford resident (recently emigrated to a great apartment in Black Rock), I interned for both the Milford Mirror and New Haven Register, as well as freelanced for Milford Patch. I covered the town of Willington during a semester-long internship at the Manchester Journal Inquirer, close to UConn. Community journalism was my focus for the past four years, and I am excited to continue this foray into Fairfield.

When I interviewed for this job, I was told over and over that Fairfield is a newsy town. I am looking forward to keeping up with the town's news pulse while maintaining that hyperlocal, community touch Patch is famous for. I am excited to tell the town's stories and continue making Fairfield Patch an important information forum for you to share and contribute to.

I look forward to working with all of you. Never hesitate to contact me with a news tip, a concern or just to say hi!
