She believes that in order for our children to be successful as the next generation, it is crucial that they have the benefits and advantages of a good education.  But her business sense makes her wise to the need to do this in a financially prudent fashion so that the entirety of the Town prospers.

She is looking to re-focus the educational spending priority back to the quality of student instruction through excellent teachers in a safe environment.

Donna is committed, smart and a hard worker who advocates for children with the benefit of her 30 years of professional experience in business. She started out on Wall Street trading for Goldman Sachs and eventually transitioned into private wealth management for a division of Citigroup.  She later moved to one of the top tier executive search firms, Korn Ferry where she did pioneering work in the search industry. From there, she launched her own firm headquartered right here in Southport . She holds a master’s degree in mediation and conflict resolution which will be put to good use as a member of the Board of Education.

Karnal believes it is time for the public to vote in members to the Board of Education who will vote to make positive changes for the Fairfield Public School System in order to bring us closer to Best in Nation status. This means the pursuit of excellence in education for the students while simultaneously having the common sense to spend in a responsible fashion.  If elected, Donna is committed to help bring Fairfield schools to that next level.  Prioritizing excellent teaching and programs for students does not require excessive spending.  It requires research, common sense and a commitment to excellence.  The kids win.  The town and the taxpayers win.  It is possible.
