[Update, 11:40 a.m.] Voter turnout is down from the last municipal election in Fairfield, when there was a race for First Selectman.

3,358 votes and 456 absentee ballots have been received as of 11 a.m., according to Matthew Waggner, Democratic Registrar of Voters.

“Voters seem to be coming out at about 80 percent of the rate of the 2011 election, when First Selectman was on the ballot, putting us on course for a voter turnout between 25 percent and 30 percent,” said Waggner.
