Windows at Orange's SmartLiving Center get 'Energized' through Art

Art camp students from Cindy Stevens Fine Art recently painted the windows at the SmartLivingTM Center in Orange. Check it out!

Art camp students from Cindy Stevens Fine Art recently painted the windows at the SmartLivingTM Center in Orange.  Eighth grade students Mackenzie Campanaro, Taylor Bernier and Elisabeth Curry from Clinton, Conn. painted the windows using images that the SmartLiving Center staff chose from various online resources as inspiration for the windows.

“Cindy and her art students did an amazing job capturing some of the exciting things going on inside the SmartLiving Center,” said Jocelyn Anastasiou, SmartLiving Center Program Manager, The United Illuminating Company (UI).  “They transformed the storefront from ordinary to extraordinary, and thanks to their artwork, people are even more intrigued and curious about the Center.  We’ve already had twelve people stop in while they were painting just to see what was going on.”

Funded by Energize Connecticut, the SmartLiving Center is part home improvement showroom, part science museum and part resource center that offers a unique educational experience for all ages to learn more about energy and electricity, electrical safety, sources of energy, conservation, the latest in energy efficiency and much more
