Behind the Scenes Tour at the Fairfield Public Library

There is more to the Fairfield Public Library than meets the eye. Whenever you visit the Library the staff can be seen working on public service desks, leading programs, or shelving books but there is a great deal of work that goes on behind the scenes. Come on Saturday, February 22 at 1 pm to the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road and we will take you on a tour and answer any questions you may have.
The Fairfield Public Library is one of the most popular destinations in the area with close to 540,000 visitors last year. Nearly 40,000 people borrowed 932,000 items while 38,000 people enjoyed library programs.
We will visit each department, learn how library materials are prepared for the public, and see all the different tasks that must be done in order to keep the library operational. Come and chat with the library staff and let them know what you want in your public library.
Please register for this tour by calling 203-256-3160 or visit us online www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org .  Follow the Fairfield Public Library on Twitter: www.twitter.com/fairfieldpublib and Facebook:  www.facebook.com/fairfieldlibrary.  All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free of charge.
