Are You Using LinkedIn to Your Full Advantage? -- a Small Business Strategies Talk at the Fairfield Public Library

So much has changed, and continues to change, in the world of social media, but LinkedIn remains the cornerstone of a professional online presence. The problem is, most people are not using it effectively.  Learn from social media specialist Carol McManus how to strengthen your online biography, get noticed by the people you want to do business with, or, if you are job hunting, by the recruiters and hiring managers.  LinkedIn is practical, professional and powerful – learn specific tips and techniques to become one of the 1 percent that stands out.  This program will be held Tuesday, December 11 at 7:00 pm in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

Carol McManus is a self-described “recovering corporate executive.”  She left her position as Senior Vice President of Real Estate Operations for Coldwell Banker in 2007 to pursue her own coaching, consulting and leadership training company, Ywait4success.  Like most entrepreneurs starting out, she had a limited marketing budget. Through the use of social media she quickly grew her business to six figure success.

This talk is part of the Small Business Strategies series for current and prospective entrepreneurs, presented through a partnership with the Greater Bridgeport chapter of SCORE, a non-profit dedicated to helping small businesses succeed through education and mentorship.  Podcast recordings of past Small Business Strategies presentations are available online at www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org.
