Bestselling Children's Author Adam Gidwitz to talk at Fairfield Public Library

The Grimm Brother’s tales have been fascinating readers for 200 years.  They fascinated author Adam Gidwitz so much that he decided to retell the tales with his own humorous, terrifying and sometimes grisly twists.  Join us as Gidwitz tells his personal tale of becoming a writer on Thursday, November 29 at 6:30 pm in the Children’s Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

In Gidwitz’s book, A Tale Dark and Grimm, Hansel and Gretel take on a new adventure that weaves together many of the Grimm’s tales.  The book is a New York Times bestseller, a 2012 Intermediate Nutmeg Nominee, and was recently selected for Al Roker’s “Today Show Book Club for Kids.”   In his latest book, In a Glass Grimmly, Jack and Jill lead the way with more delights and scares in fairy tale land.

Both books will be available for purchase and signing at this event.
