Anxiety is the most common emotional problem in children and teens. Serious anxiety, which affects 13% or about 6.5 million children in America, can sidetrack youngsters from learning, making friends and having fun. Maladaptive responses to anxiety can cause disruptions in school, at home and in social situations. Parents are often left wondering what to do. This workshop will offer parents a sense of what to look for symptomatically to know if they have an anxious child. Additionally, we will look at several practical strategies on how to help children and teens manage their anxiety and therefore mange their life more effectively.
