NAMI CT Legislative Priorities 2013 Meeting

NAMI Fairfield will hold its First Wednesday of the Month Meeting on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. A representative from NAMI CT Department of Public Policy and Advocacy will join Kate Mattias, Executive Director of NAMI CT and Bob Davidson, President of the NAMI CT Board of Directors, to outline the Connecticut legislative priorities for the upcoming year and to solicit input from NAMI Fairfield members and members of Fairfield area communities regarding the direction of NAMI Connecticut’s efforts.

The Connecticut chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness is made up of a small paid staff in Hartford and hundreds of grass-root volunteers bringing programs and services that benefit people of our state living with a mental illness, their families and friends. This meeting will serve to bring voice to the concerns and recommendations our local affiliate members and area citizens have regarding the future direction of NAMI CT programs and its advocacy efforts.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 2 in the Eliot Room Library, First Church Congregational, 148 Beach Road, Fairfield from 7:30-9 pm. It is open to the public, is free of charge, and light refreshments will be served. For more information please call Judy at 203-650-3463.
