Narrowing the Digital Divide -- a Pathways to Parenting Program at the Fairfield Public Library

Is your family’s dependence on computers and technology encroaching on family time and homework time?   There is often a high level of frustration at home because parents do not know about simple, affordable and sometimes free methods of reining in the numerous technologies that have become part of our lives.  Tech expert Bud Freund will share strategies for learning more about what kids are doing online and offer suggestions on creating limits and controls.  This program will take place Tuesday, January 8 at 7:00 pm in the Children’s Program Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

Presenter Bud Freund provides tech support for small businesses, individuals and families. Bud is also a SCORE counselor and workshop presenter.  He often shares his expertise on technology topics at the Library.

This program is co-presented through the Library’s Pathways to Parenting series and the Technology Topics series.  Upcoming programs in the Pathways to Parenting series include Take the Stress Out of Math! For Kids Grades K-5, January 24; Outsmarting Your Toddler with Love, February 14; Countdown to Kindergarten, February 21; Connecting Boys with Books, March 28 and Kids CAN DO IT Themselves, April 18.  The Technology Topics series offers hands-on computer classes and tech demo classes – please visit our website for more details.
