Join manners expert Judith Ré in a discussion of the importance of teaching manners, etiquette, social skills and kindness to children. Find out how these skills can open doors not only for your children, but yourself. This program will take place Thursday, February 28 at 7:00 pm in the Memorial Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.
Judith Ré is founder and president of the Judith Ré Académie for Instruction of the Social Graces, started in 1986 to teach manners to children and adults at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Boston. She has conducted award-winning manners programs at schools, corporations and hotels nationwide.
This program connects to the Library’s 2013 One Book One Town celebration. This year’s pick, Wonder, by R. J. Palacio invites us all to “Choose Kindness” in our dealings with difficult social situations. When you’re at the Library, check out a copy. Written for middle grade readers and up, this is a good selection to read together with your child or as a family.
