Over 40 and Looking for Work -- a Jobs series program at the Fairfield Public Library

Looking for work in a down economy presents special challenges.  Job seekers over 40 need 21st century strategies to showcase their knowledge and education without appearing dated.  Learn how to make your experience work for you.  A career development specialist from the Connecticut Department of Labor will lead this program on Monday, January 28 at 10:00 am at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

This talk is part of the Library’s award-winning speaker series, Jobs: Back to Work, now in its fifth year.  The talks are supplemented by the Library’s networking group, a LinkedIn networking group, one-on-one career counseling sessions, Job Search Boot Camp, podcast recordings of over 100 past presentations (www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org), and an updated collection of job-hunting books.

All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free.  Register online at www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org or for more information call 203-256-3160.  Follow the Fairfield Public Library on Twitter:  www.twitter.com/fairfieldpublib and Facebook:  www.facebook.com/fairfieldlibrary.
