Will Your Resume Get You the Interview? A Jobs Series Program at the Fairfield Public Library

Whether you have updated your resume recently or haven’t looked at it in years, it’s tough to keep abreast of what makes a stand-out resume. Master resume writer Cathy Alfandre will discuss what a resume should look like in today’s competitive marketplace.  She will share top “must-haves” and “must-not-dos” to make sure your resume helps to get you in the door.  This program will take place Thursday, February 21 at 7:00 pm in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

Cathy Alfandre is a career coach and resume writer who partners with mid-career professionals -- administrative to executive -- to help them clarify, pursue and achieve career goals.  Prior to establishing her career coaching business, Cathy had 15 years of experience in private and public sectors, including many years in strategic human resources consulting.

This talk is part of the Library’s award-winning speaker series, Jobs 2013, now in its fifth year.  The talks are supplemented by the Library’s networking group, a LinkedIn networking group, one-on-one career counseling sessions, Job Search Boot Camp, podcast recordings of over 100 past presentations (www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org), and an updated collection of job-hunting books.
