Have you read Wonder yet, Fairfield’s 2013 One Book One Town selection by R. J. Palacio? See the book brought to life at the annual Reader’s Theater on Saturday, March 9 at 3:00 pm in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road. Actors will perform Auggie’s story in a unique performance with a script adapted from the book. Experience Wonder through the spoken word and with sounds and images from the book. For all ages, registration required.
Each year Library staff adapts a script of the One Book One Town pick and the actors in our midst also perform. It is always a favorite event.
Twenty-four varied lectures, book talks, programs, movie showings and activities are offered for all ages as we discuss Wonder together this March, Fairfield’s sixth year choosing a One Book One Town selection. To see the full list of programs, pick up the One Book One Town brochure at one of the Libraries, or click the One Book One Town icon on the Library website www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org.
All programs at the Fairfield Public Library and for One Book One Town are free, but seating is limited. Some events require registration.
