Catherine Albin has been selected as the 2013 recipient of the John J. Sullivan Public Service Award.  The Sullivan Award is given annually to a Democrat who has served our party and community with distinction encompassing community service and sustained political activity and leadership.

Catherine  began working for local government as a Registrar of Voters in Hebron, CT and also served on the Board of Education in Hebron. Since moving to Fairfield, she has been active with numerous endeavors, including  the Downtown Revitalization Committee, Chair of Burr Garden Advisory Committee and has been a perennial volunteer for the Fairfield DTC. She was also active in the PTA while her two sons attended Fairfield Public Schools.

Catherine served on the Fairfield Board of Education of from 1999-2009, and was chair from 2003-2004 and 2007-2009. She was appointed to the Board of Finance in 2012 and is currently seeking to be re-elected to a four-year term on the Board of Finance in November.
