Family ReEntry Presents, NY Times Bestseller, Laura Schroff, Author of An Invisible Thread

Family ReEntry’s mission is to develop,
implement, and share innovative, sustainable, cost-effective solutions to the
unprecedented numbers of people involved in the criminal justice system.

On Wednesday  May 14th , Family Reentry
has the privilege of hosting NY Times bestselling author, Laura Schroff,
who is coming to share her story at the Pequot Library in Southport.  Her
book, An Invisible Thread, is an inspiring true life story
about the relationship between an 11 year old inner-city panhandler (Maurice)
and a successful sales advertising representative (Laura Schroff).  Her
book speaks to how two people can come together with a force of compassion and
friendship that can transform lives.  This is a touching and sometimes raw
story of an “informal mentoring” relationship that made a life-long impact and
helped break the cycle of poverty, addiction & incarceration for a boy
maturing into manhood.

Join us as Laura shares this heartwarming story
of friendship that has spanned 25 years, the brought life to an overscheduled
professional who had lost sight of family and happiness and hope to a hungry
and desperate boy whose family background in drugs and crime and squalor seemed
an inescapable fate.

Following
the event will be a Q&A Session and Book Signing.  Wine
& Cheese will be served as well.
