Gambling in Connecticut
Author Talk: Former Connecticut Congressman Robert H. Steele, discusses his book, "The Curse: Big-Time Gambling's Seduction of a Small New England Town." The story is set against the explosion of casino gambling in Connecticut during the 1990s, when two Indian tribes built the world's two biggest casinos in the southeastern corner of the state, just eight miles apart.
Panel Discussion: At a time when more and more states are rushing to legalize or expand gambling, this is an Issue of the Day. There will be a panel discussion with local politicians, about gambling, adding their perspectives on this important conversation, for our community and state.
