Hands Are Not For Hitting: A Special Interactive Story Time at the Fairfield Public Library

Young children often act out inappropriately with each other when they are unable to express themselves.  Children ages 3-5 and their parents are invited to the Library for a special story time that guides preschoolers to more positive ways to handle their differences with other children. They will learn how to express their wishes and get their needs met without hurtful actions – all while having fun!  Parents will receive information to reinforce empathy development at home.  Milissa Schramm will lead this program, valuable for child care professionals as well as parents.  This special story time will take place Wednesday, February 19 at 10:00 am in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.  Registration is requested.

Milissa Schramm is a community educator for The Center for Family Justice (formerly the Center for Women and Families).

This program is presented through the Library’s Pathways to Parenting series.  Upcoming programs this winter include “Be a Superstar Mystery Reader” on March 12 and “How to Take the Frustration out of Toilet Training” on March 27.
