Hoops for Hope to Benefit the Kyle Winslow All Abilities Playground

Hoops for Hope to Take Place at Roger Ludlowe Middle School on
Thursday, 2/27, 6-8pm

The Mill Hill and Dwight Elementary school communities are
coming together to raise money for an important addition to our community…The
Kyle Winslow All Abilities Playground.
Kyle Winslow was a student at Mill Hill School who was in a wheelchair
and was just learning to speak when he passed away at the age of nine, in January
2011.  As a child with special needs, he
was unable to play and interact with his classmates on the current playground,
or on any playground in the Fairfield community.  The mission of this playground is to give all
people, regardless of their abilities, the opportunities to explore and engage
in the highest level of play together.
This $250,000 endeavor was initiated by the Winslow family, who has been
fundraising privately, and $70, 000 is still needed to break ground this
spring.  Please join us for this special,
fun, exciting event.  Come cheer as teachers
and staff from Mill Hill and Dwight compete in a school vs. school basketball
game, enjoy baked treats sold by our Girl Scouts, and enter for a chance to win
an RSS Glide Scooter.  Tickets are $5
each or $20/family.  For questions or
donations please contact Mill Hill School at 203-255-8320.
