Learn about Fall Soil Preparation @ Fairfield Woods Branch Library

Preparing your garden now for the spring will result in a crop of early vegetables.  Nick Mancini, Certified Master Gardener, will share the best ways to put your garden “to bed” for the winter on Saturday, November 9 at 2 p.m.  The lecture will be held at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Woods Road.

Nick’s book, The Complete Organic Garden will be available for sale and signing at this event.  The book is a reference on how to master your edible garden and take advantage of techniques to bolster your chance of success.  Mancini specializes in organic vegetables, fruits and brambles.  He teaches organic gardening at Norwalk Community College and has written articles for the Connecticut Master Gardeners Association and the Edible Nutmeg magazine.
