Over 40 and Looking for Work -- a Jobs Program at the Fairfield Public Library

Learn how to make your experience work for you!  Looking for work in a down economy presents special challenges.  Job seekers over 40 need 21st century strategies to showcase their knowledge and education without appearing dated.  A career development specialist from the Connecticut Department of Labor will lead this program on Monday, December 2 at 10:00 am in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.  Registration is requested.

This is the last Jobs talk in our fall program.  Look for more great speakers and topics when our winter/spring session starts at the end of January.

These presentations are part of the Library’s award-winning Jobs series, now in its fifth year.  The talks are supplemented by the Library’s networking group, a LinkedIn networking group, one-on-one career counseling sessions, Job Search Boot Camp, podcast recordings of over 100 past presentations (www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org), and an updated collection of job-hunting books.  Since January of 2012, 76 people who attended Jobs series programs have reported they have found employment.
