Safety Town

Safety Town 

A national program that was developed in 1964 to teach young children important safety information before entering kindergarten. All safety topics will be taught in collaboration with local community and health agencies. Safety Topics include: Traffic safety, bicycle safety, fire safety, water safety, bus safety, awareness of strangers, and basic first aid. Cost is $25 per child, financial assistance is available. Classes are held daily, rain or shine, and a snack is provided each day. A graduation ceremony is held on Friday. Parents and relatives are invited to encouraged to attend this ceremony.
