The Christian Church calendar begins a new year on Sunday, December 1, with the season of Advent. Saint Paul's will mark this occasion with a special service of music and scripture readings at 5:00 PM. The service, 'Lessons and Carols for Advent Sunday', will be sung by the parish's renowned Saint Paul's Choir.
The 45-voice choir is based on the English cathedral model, with boy and girl trebles singing together with adult altos, tenors and basses. The choir has toured England four times, sung in Carnegie Hall three times, sung services in major Episcopal churches in New York City, and has acquired a national reputation for excellence.
