Story Book Character Parade Kicks Off 2014 Family Reads! Program at Fairfield Public Library

As part of our 2014 Family Reads! kick-off, we are having a story book character parade.  Dress up as your favorite story book hero and parade through the Library!  After sharing a few stories and light snacks, the parade will begin.  The entire family is encouraged to come in costume, if you would like.  Join us on Saturday, May 31 at 11:00 am in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.  Registration is required.

Family Reads! is a new program that gets families reading and talking about books together. The book selection for the 2014 Family Reads! is Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library by Chris Grabenstein.  There will be a Family Book Club on Thursday, June 19 at 6:30 pm at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library and an exciting visit from the author on Wednesday, June 25 at 6:30 pm at Fairfield Ludlowe High School Auditorium.  Join us for this family fun and don’t forget that the Summer Reading program will be starting at the beginning of June.

All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free.  For more information on this and other programs, visit us online at:  www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org or call 203-256-3160.
