The Math of Food for Teens at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library

If you think you’ll never use math in the real world, you probably haven’t spent a lot of time in the kitchen. This program will show you how math and cooking are intertwined, and you’ll get to cook something delicious, too.  We will meet on Thursday, July 10 from 2:30-4:00 pm in the downUNDER teen room at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Woods Road.  This class is for teens entering grade 6 and up.  Registration is required.

You won’t be able to say there’s nothing to do this summer, at least not on our creative Thursday afternoons for teens.  Additional classes at the Main Library include …Dot, Dot, Dot (color theory and pointillism) on July 17; Build a Baby Robot on July 31; and String Art on July 24 at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Woods Road.

Don’t forget to sign up for the Teen Summer Challenge online.  In addition to earning points for reading, you earn points every time you participate in a Library program.

All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free.  To register, or for more information on this and other programs, visit us online at www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org, or call 203-256-3160.
