Understanding Breast Cancer with Dr. Veronica Waks at the Fairfield Public Library

Popular health topics speaker Dr. Veronica Waks returns to the Library for the final program in a series of talks on Understanding Breast Cancer.  Vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements that can be helpful for breast cancer will be discussed as well as the best ways of dealing with the short and long term side effects of chemotherapy and radiation.  She will also look at dietary changes and supplements that can contribute to breast cancer prevention.  This talk will take place on Thursday, December 5 at 7:00 pm in the Memorial Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.  Registration is requested.

Dr. Waks, ND is a licensed naturopathic physician who practices at the Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center in Fairfield.  After practicing as a traditional medical doctor for more than ten years, Dr. Waks became increasingly concerned with the negative side effects of pharmaceutical treatments.  She then studied natural and alternative therapies and received her doctorate in naturopathic medicine.
