Calling All Foodies – Westport And Beyond
A wonderful food-centric weekend planned just for you
…are you out there? If you are, you want to hear about this really unique and fun-filled event designed and curate just for you.
Westport Downtown Merchants Association, CTbites and Westport Sunrise Rotary have collaborated to bring to you a wonderfully creative, food-centric and food-inspired weekend – Oct 26-28th.
Here is the genius of this event: It’s all centered around downtown Westport, so that you can park your car once and for all and then plan on spending your entire day shopping, attending cooking demos and food tastings, beer tasting, wine tasting or watching foodie-movie – all within walking distance.

Just to give you an idea of what’s in store for you, here are some of the highlights on Saturday, Oct 27th:
Biergarten On The Green, 1-4 PM: There will be tons of wonderful craft and micro beers to taste. Celebrated chef and cookbook author, Ian Knauer will be preparing farm to table, beer-laden fare for your tasting pleasure.

Cooking Demo and Lunch with Chef Pietro, 12 Noon: I LOVE Chef Pietro. He is so talented and entertaining. Did you catch him doing his sausage making demo at the Blues, Views and BBQ festival in Westport? He was a riot! It was the most enjoyable demo of the day. :-)
Kids Get Cookin’, 11AM: A sushi rolling class, designed just for kids 8-15 yrs old, brought to us by folks at Matsu Sushi.
BBQ, Bourbon and Beer, 8PM: A fabulously delicious event planned for the roof top of Bobby Q’s. BBQ, Bourbon and Beer …. as Ina Garten would say, “How bad can that be?!” :-)
A Galloping Great Happy Hour, 5PM: Everyone’s favorite new restaurant in downtown Westport, Spotted Horse, is hosting a two hour wine and beer open bar. Appetizers can be purchased at 25% discount during this event.
