For anybody that was in junior high or high school in the 1980s you certainly danced to John Waite songs at the prom, roller rink, or summer carnival.
Most famous for his 1985 No. 1 hit single "Missing You," he also went on to front the band Bad English with Journey guitar player Neil Schon -- they had a No. 1 single in 1989, "When I See You Smile."
Taking the 80s by storm and known as the go-to guy for movie soundtracks, he contributed to some of the biggest films to come out of the decade including "Vision Quest," "Days of Thunder," and "About Last Night."
