A Time to Give Thanks

The Immigration Law Offices of Cynthia R. Exner, LLC in Danbury and Port Chester is a proud sponsor of Tails of Courage, a dog and puppy rescue organization.

Thanksgiving is almost here.  In this time of giving, does your family, or a family that you know, have room in their hearts and home for a loving animal that has nothing?

“My name is Charming.  I am a very sweet big boy.  I am a shepherd mix born in West Virginia.  When I was born, my owners didn’t want me or my brothers and sisters so we were all turned in to the local shelter.  The shelter in West Virginia is very small and they couldn’t keep all of us, so a call was placed to Tails of Courage.  Would Tails of Courage take me?  Fortunately, they said YES!

I made the long journey by transport caravan to Connecticut.  I was adopted by a nice family in CT when I was still a baby.  But, the family went through some difficult personal times of their own, and I was returned to Tails of Courage.  I wasn’t returned because I did anything wrong.  There wasn’t anything wrong with me, and the family was very happy with me; but, the family had their own personal crises and I had to be returned.

I was very sad, because I had gotten a taste of what it was like to live with a real family of my own.  That’s what I really want now.

I am about 1 year old now and I have been living at Tails of Courage kennel.  All of the dogs and puppies at the kennel are my friends and I get along with everyone, but this is not where I want to live.  I watch the other dogs and puppies get adopted, but no one wants me, and I keep getting bigger and bigger.  I am afraid that someone won’t want a big boy like me.   I have just the right amount of energy, and lots of love to give.

With the holidays approaching, I think that I would be a GREAT dog to take home.  I am always happy, and I could help a family to laugh and enjoy life, just like I want to do.

Tails of Courage, One Pembroke Road, Danbury, CT.  TOC is open every day, 7 days a week, from 9:00 to 5:30 for adoptions.  You can complete an adoption application online at www.tailsofcourage.org and take me home with you the day that you come to TOC and fall in love with me.  If you are a family who wants a big dog with energy and love, and a very sweet disposition, maybe you would consider me?  I don’t have much to give to you, except my love and kisses.

The next Adoption Event is at Choice Pet Supply, 1947 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield, CT on Sunday, November 24, 2013.  Please come and see all of us. There are over 30 puppies, adult dogs, 1 kitten and a mama cat currently at Tails of Courage. As the holiday season approaches, please consider opening your home to a big boy like me who has nothing.”
