Eco-Friendly Photobooth Backdrops

Creating your own photo backdrop is a fun way to ensure that your pictures capture your style.

Deciding where to take your wedding pictures can be tricky. If you hire a professional photographer, they may want to set up a mini photo studio for portraits. Unless you want studio-style pictures, consider taking a more organic approach. Think about your color scheme and your theme. Instead of relying on the photographer, get creative. Creating your own photo backdrop is a fun way to ensure that your pictures capture your style. It will also give your photographer a place to focus, where guests can congregate. You may end up with more creative shots since subjects will be at ease in front of your pretty pre-made stage.

 Paper Garlands

Hanging paper garlands are both versatile and beautiful, especially when they’re made with three-dimensional paper shapes like diamonds, hearts, or snowflakes. Etsy is full of great inexpensive paper garlands made from a wide variety of recycled paper sources—from old books of French poetry to the pages of children's comic books. If you’re creating an indoor backdrop, hang your garlands from the ceiling to create a three-dimensional garland forest. This will give your pictures depth and texture and it will also create a subtle softness since the camera won’t be focused on the garlands that are hanging further away from the subjects.

 A Handmade Banner

If you have a nice textured wall or fence, consider hanging a simple banner. It can include a phrase like “love” or “just married” or may simply consist of some colorful decorative shapes to liven up the background. Use your imagination and don’t be afraid to take it down halfway through for some variety.

You Can’t Beat Nature

Trees, a verdant valley, a wide open blue sky, the crashing surf, snow-capped mountains, or mountain streams are all gorgeous and unbeatable wedding photo backdrops. If you’re lucky enough to get married near some natural beauty, take advantage of it! Set up some chairs, parasols, or other photo props ahead of time to designate your photo area so your wedding party knows where to pose. If you’re worried about weather, set up an indoor photo area too, just in case (though rainy and snowy wedding photos are incredibly beautiful too, if you’re willing to brave the elements). Make sure your photographer is prepared with a wide umbrella in case you all end up getting wet. It’s also important to think about where the sun will be in the sky come picture time. Ideally, it will be shining at an angle off to one side or another. If it’s behind you, the figures in your pictures will look like dark silhouettes. If it’s in front of you, everyone will be squinting.

Forgive me, I guess I don't quite see how we are 1 million over budget? What financials are youRead More referring too? The third quarter statement of account? Was last year the year the BOE returned $ to the town? Absolutely agree with you about the middle school, we need more STEM offerings. Right now high schoolers are required to show they are proficient in Microsoft Office. Many take a semester long course to help prepare for the test (seems like that time could be better spent). Other students just take the proficiency test. Seems like this can be something that can be addressed earlier than high school. Why not offer the course to 8th graders, and let them show they are proficient in Microsoft Office before they even get to high school.

It seems apparent to me as I watch children getting picked up in the morning by school buses thatRead More there is some stream lining that could be done with the school bus budget. There are at least five separate buses that pick up children in front of my hose on Jennings road each morning 4 of which are all elementary. Can all these children in a two block radius go to different schools and if they do why. all the buses are almost empty when they pick up these children. Why then potentially are we paying all this money for buses when less can be used?

For flat, easy terrain, the beach area and old post road offer the best situations. On weekendsRead More you'll find plenty of bike riders in the area so you'll have some company and there is plenty of scenery. Also, there are a couple of multi-use off-road paths located at Ash Creek (near Fairfield Metro Station) and Pine Creek.

Creeky, the condos were 65 luxury units, and there were no low income or affordable housingRead More included. We do not accept the alternative of industrial versus overly dense huge condos looming over our homes. Is there any new industrial activity likely in Fairfield? Industrial is leaving and not coming here, especially to a polluted site like Thorpe Street. We expect the property owner to come back with a more reasonable residential development that we can support because it will integrate into our neighborhood.

Does anyone know if low income housing is included in the proposal? Also, I'm curious, would theRead More neighbors prefer industrial development to condominiums?
