Study: Fairfield is Sixth Most Popular Municipality in US for Summer Camps

Fairfield is the sixth most popular municipality in the nation for summer camps, according an analysis on MySummerCamps.com. 

Fairfield ranks below San Diego, New York City, Champaign, Ill., Milton, Mass., and Los Angeles, but above places like Chicago, Seattle, Brooklyn, and Orlando, according to the Top 20 list released in a release on MarketWired.com, based on the MySummerCamps.com analysis.   

The study utilizes data from both MySummerCamps.com and KidsCamps.com to analyze more than 4,500 camp listings across the U.S. and Canada, determining the towns and cities with the highest concentration of summer camps. 

“Camps attract more than 11 million youths each year, and offer much more than a vacation. It is an invaluable opportunity for children to explore a world that goes beyond their neighborhoods,” Nicola Marconato, Director of MySummerCamps.com and KidsCamps.com, said in the release.  

“This Top 20 list demonstrates how camps cover the entire spectrum of places in North America, from its large urban cities to its smaller towns,” she added.   

Last month, Fairfield held an open house for parents and children to register for one or more of the town's many summer camp offerings.
