Obituary: Ann Link, 82, Beloved Wife

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Dec. 13, from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Lesko & Polke Funeral Home. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, at Notre Dame Church in Easton.

Link – Ann M. Link, age 82, beloved wife of Richard Link, of Easton, passed away on December 8, 2012, in Rutland, Vermont.  

In addition to Richard, her devoted husband of 56 years, she will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Richard Hurley, and his wife, Florence, of Niantic; two brothers-in-law, John Link, and his wife, Phyllis, of Cocoa Beach, FL, Stephen Link, and his wife, Regina, of Norfolk; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, David and Ursula Jennings Hurley, one brother, David Hurley, Jr., and her trusted canine companion, Doxy.  

Born in New York City, Ann was raised in Fairfield, and graduated from Roger Ludlow High School in 1949. She resided in Washington, DC, Bridgeport, and Monroe before settling in Easton 35 years ago. 

Ann began her career with Underwood Corporation, later working for National Education Association of Secondary School Principles, Link Realty, and Visiting Nurses Association before her retirement.  

Touring on extensive vacations throughout North, Central, and South America, as well as many countries throughout the world, Ann and Richard shared a passion for exploring out of the way places and enjoyed dining out.  As a couple, they were deeply committed to each other. She will be dearly missed by her husband, family, and friends.  

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. in Notre Dame Church, of Easton, with her burial to follow at Lawncroft Cemetery.
